Welcome to Kahoa School !

Kahoa's mission is: "Fostering Academic Excellence for All Students In A Safe and Caring Environment."

Improvements to Kahoa are ever present. School wide goals provide the framework in which we build. These goals include: 1) increasing student scores in reading comprehension and mathematical procedures and 2) increasing teachers technology knowledge.

Dedicated staff are continually seeking to improve professionally each day to provide students with the best possible learning environments and experiences.

April 28th was the farewell performance for beloved music teacher Burton Shernikau as he directed 3rd, 4th and 5th graders through many familiar tunes. Mr. Shernikau has been teaching vocal music for 42 years and has been at Kahoa for 21 years. "He just doesn’t instruct music to the children he helps them embrace it," said one parent. Mr. Shernikau also wrote the Kahoa school song which is proudly sung at school events. He currently directs the Lincoln Boys Choir that he started 6 years ago, teaches voice and piano lessons, and is an organist for the Scottish Rite and Shrine. So let’s sing again that great Kahoa tune and thank Mr. Shernikau for all the memories he has given us...
