Hello Kahoa Families,
The beginning of the 2016-17 school year is upon us. The Kahoa staff is at work preparing to welcome students and families tomorrow for our Open House/ Safe Walk to School Night. Doors open at 6:00pm and the evening will conclude at 7:00 pm. This year there will be a staff member at each door to greet families as you arrive. We encourage you to enter through the door your student(s) will use when they come to school each day. This will help them get acquainted with their new routine. Below is a list of grade levels and entry doors:
Kindergarten – by the front main office (door #2);
Grade One – by the front main office (door #1);
Grade Two – on the south side of the building off of Leighton Ave (door #17);
Grade Three – on the east side of the playground (door # 10);
Grade Four – on the northwest side of the building (door # 7);
Fifth Grade – on the northeast corner of the new addition (door # 9).
Be sure to stop by the Multipurpose Room for information regarding the Kahoa PTO, the Walking Track project and other clubs and activities available to students outside of the school day. Finally, for Kindergarten families, the PTO would like to invite you to the Woo Hoo Breakfast. You are welcome to join us for a light breakfast provided by the PTO immediately upon school arrival at 9:00 am on Monday, August 15th in the Multipurpose room. This is a brief opportunity to celebrate new beginnings and answer questions you may have as the school year gets started.
